I have a problem with any Windows 10/11 PC on our network when our internet goes offline.(FYI Our company is located in a farming/rural aria where internet is not stable)The PC's (all 75 of them) will not see or access any PC/Servers via Names on the net. Thousands of AVG users are complaining about a virus detection notice that is most likely a false positive 1.

  • When internet is offline windows 10/11 cant see local LAN PC Names but only IP's Windows.
  • When dealing with RDP, and restricting it to specific monitors instead of all monitors, everything I have read indicates you get the monitor numbers by using the MSTSC / command.however I see situations where these numbers change because of changing doc.
  • using RDP on multiple monitors: what are the monitor IDs listed in MSTSC /l Windows.

  • A 64kb application probably cant do much, I speculate it may be a trojan downloader, whereby it downloads the rest of itself upon execution. On a side note, keygens are illegal and highly dangerous. I am also very careful about what I download so I really don’t know what is going on. It may be a false positive (meaning its not actually a virus, but the anti-virus thinks it is) or it may actually be malicious. I don’t know if I really have a trojan or what – I am not symptomatic at all – I run avg, firewall, spybot – spyware blaster – ad aware. I have written AVG repeatedly about this and they have yet to answer my emails. Keep in mind that this threat now resides in “c”\system volume information\_restore followed by a string of letters & numbers.

After all its your product causing the false-positives, and if I report the false positive on this build and get it whitelisted it will detect it when I update it and so on, which would be a problem to make a false positive removal request every single time I update. When I tried to do either of these, I received a msg that those options had failed and that access was denied to the file. I think you should contact the anti-virus vendor. The options on avg are to heal or remove to vault. Last nite I booted up and it came up with that threat again but now I am unable to remove it. (This is a day after all of this other trojan stuff was detected). However, I installed a new program yesterday (not related to any of this) and as I always do I set a restore point for that day before installing. I removed the threat to the virus vault and thought all was set. Also infection is supposedly in a program that I have been using for months without any detection of any kind. Al in all we suggest to scan your computer to be sure that your computer is not infected with any kind of malware.

Simply upgrade to the AVG 2017 version and the issue should be solved. for that file they did not detect anything in the day before. AVG tech-support does not think it is a serious issue and you do not need to remove qd as it seems to be a false positive.
